About us

History

Cadmium was born from a need to provide the shipping lanes of Stanton and Pyro with a solid security commitment, owing to the steep rise in piracy following the collapse of some major PMCs. Founded in the year 2943, we have expanded quickly to great success fighting invasions with the UEE Navy to low level pirate antics. We are proud to say that in the short time since our inception, we have become a force to be reckoned with in Stanton. 

Founded by Avro William, the company had humble beginnings escorting Hulls between Arc Corp and the Pyro jump point, where a more capable contingent of fighters would take over. Soon they were able to welcome more operatives into their fleet, and with them came an ability to take on  larger contracts. 

In 2947, Cadmium took part in campaign to rid Crusader of the scourge of pirate activity that arrived like a plague from Pyro. The UEE Navy seemed to be reluctant to step in and help, letting the brunt of the costs fall on the private companies that occupy the system. This worked in our favour, lining our pockets in both confiscated assets and security contract payouts.

Given Cadmium's successful first decade, we thought it wise to diversify our operational assets after 2953, branching out into Logistics and Industry after significant investment in our fleet, thus the multifaceted Cadmium that we know today was born.  Cadmium now offers a full suite of services, taking advantage of any opportunity to profit in the verse that we call home. 

Operational Capabilities 

Cadmium operates in many different areas of interest but our main focus is providing a security service that aims to create a safe and prosperous business environment in Stanton and Pyro, this often sees us collaborating with other organizations to combat piracy and militant threats throughout the systems. We are still a profit oriented business though, and will pursue any line of work that fills our pockets and provides a good life for our members. 

Currently, we are engaged in protecting the trade routes between Pyro and Stanton, as well as working with some of the biggest companies in the verse to  ensure money flows and our customers can safely conduct business.  

Structure - Ranks

Cadmium is a structured environment, with each member having a distinct rank that determines their seniority. These ranks are not given lightly, and will only be awarded by the admiralty once certain criteria have been satisfied. They are as follows:

Grand Admiral - The leaders of of our worthy cause. Think of your G.ADM as a Fleet Commander, overseeing the big picture of the operation. They ensure that the teams are moving forward with the greater mission, and are ultimately the ones in control. 

Admiral -  Admirals are the ones that plan events and have the authority to change events as they are happening, give promotions, and overlook large operations.

Vice Admiral - Vice Admirals are responsible for large teams and steering operations in the correct direction, they have shown superior leadership skills and commitment to the cause.

Commodore - Commodores are Captains that have shown extra dedication to the line of duty, through constant activity and strategic prowess. 

Captain - Captains have shown that during operations, their teams have been very effective and due to their leadership, have achieved great things.

Commander - Commanders have shown that they are capable of leading large or composite teams on operations. 

Lieutenant - Lieutenants are selected based on leadership skills, allowing them to lead small teams on operations. 

Officer - Officers have shown dedication and bravery in their line of duty

Ensign - Your fist Cadmium rank, Ensigns are our main fighting force, this is the rank that most people in Cadmium will have. 

Recruit - The first step, you are only a recruit for your first week, after you know that you want a career with us, fill in your application form.
